Discover one of the Cape Peninsula’s most rewarding summit hikes on this guided ascent of Noordhoek Peak. Rising above Silvermine, this scenic route combines a steady climb with wide-open mountain landscapes and breathtaking views over Noordhoek, False Bay, and the Atlantic coastline.
We begin our hike within the Silvermine section of Table Mountain, following a well-established trail that climbs gradually through fynbos-covered slopes. The ascent is steady rather than technical, allowing time to settle into a comfortable rhythm while enjoying the ever-expanding views behind us.
As we gain height, the sense of space increases dramatically. The trail winds across open mountain terrain, offering uninterrupted views across the Noordhoek Valley, Chapman’s Peak, and out toward the ocean. I’ll guide you at a relaxed, sustainable pace, with regular pauses to appreciate the scenery and point out local flora and landmarks.
Reaching the summit of Noordhoek Peak feels expansive and peaceful. From the top, the views stretch across False Bay, the Atlantic Ocean, and deep into the Cape Peninsula — a true panoramic reward for the climb. We take time to rest, enjoy the summit, and soak in the quiet mountain atmosphere before beginning our descent.
We return via the same route, enjoying an easy, flowing descent with constantly changing perspectives.
