Experience one of Cape Town’s most iconic summit hikes on this guided ascent of Lion’s Head. This popular route offers a perfect blend of adventure and accessibility, with incredible 360° views over the city, coastline, and Table Mountain. It’s a short but rewarding hike, ideal for sunrise, sunset, or daytime outings.
We begin at the base of Lion’s Head, following a well-defined trail that spirals steadily around the mountain. The route starts off gently, allowing time to warm up while enjoying changing views of the City Bowl and Atlantic Ocean.
As we gain height, the trail becomes more engaging, with short sections of rocky scrambling assisted by chains and ladders. I’ll guide you through these sections at a comfortable pace, ensuring a safe and confident ascent for everyone in the group.
The reward at the summit is one of the best 360-degree panoramas in Cape Town — stretching from Table Bay and the City Bowl to Camps Bay, the Twelve Apostles, and Table Mountain towering above.
After spending time at the top for photos and rest, we descend via the same route, enjoying a relaxed return with views that feel completely different on the way down.
